• Iftar is provided by volunteers of the 7^th of April Charity Group each day.  The group provides the main essentials for the workers to break their fast: water, milk and dates, followed by a heavier, main meal such as delicious, traditional Libyan dishes and pizza.

Fundraising is all about having fun and finding a way to raise money for children with cancer and their families who are in need. This is a rewarding way to show your support and getting others involved.

The event is organized by The 7^th of April Organization, it is a non-governmental organization.

All profits will go towards buying medicines and chemotherapy injections that are necessary to help and support local children affected by Leukemia to beat the illness.

So why not join in on a beneficial family day out at Abu-Sita where you could meet  locals and their families, take part in a number of fun activities or even win something at the raffle and get a taste of yummy Local Traditional Libyan food, all for a good cause.

It will be the pleasure of the 7th April volunteer group to invite you to attend its first charity expo for amateur childrens’ drawings (children with cancer, down syndrome, dumb and hard hearing children, scouts and school children) with the participation of a group of Libyan professional artists, encouraging such talents and elevating their spirits.

The expo will be on the 27th March at 6.00pm – 9.00pm at Farhati Hall , Benashour, aldill street in front of Fatat al tawra school and Al Razi Clinic

The program consists of :

• Art painting exhibition
• Expressive painting corner for visitors to express their ideas
• Painting corner for children participants
• Data show viewing the groups’ activities + children at work preparing for the expo)
• Face painting
• Handicrafts
• Groups’ corner (introducing the group – blood donation brochures – Group
• joining registration)
• Media coverage / documentation ( Shababia  tv channel)
• Charity dinner (profit goes to cancer suffering children)
• Guests farewells by leaving a finger print on a canvas

The U.S. Embassy in Tripoli is now accepting applications for the 2011 Fulbright Foreign Student and Fulbright Science and Technology Fellowships.   Fellows will study in the United States at a university of their choice to earn a Master’s Degree or PhD.
