It will be the pleasure of the 7th April volunteer group to invite you to attend its first charity expo for amateur childrens’ drawings (children with cancer, down syndrome, dumb and hard hearing children, scouts and school children) with the participation of a group of Libyan professional artists, encouraging such talents and elevating their spirits.

The expo will be on the 27th March at 6.00pm – 9.00pm at Farhati Hall , Benashour, aldill street in front of Fatat al tawra school and Al Razi Clinic

The program consists of :

• Art painting exhibition
• Expressive painting corner for visitors to express their ideas
• Painting corner for children participants
• Data show viewing the groups’ activities + children at work preparing for the expo)
• Face painting
• Handicrafts
• Groups’ corner (introducing the group – blood donation brochures – Group
• joining registration)
• Media coverage / documentation ( Shababia  tv channel)
• Charity dinner (profit goes to cancer suffering children)
• Guests farewells by leaving a finger print on a canvas

Synopsis

A few weeks before his college entrance exams, Reda (Nicolas Cazale), a young man who lives in the south of France, finds himself obligated to drive his father to Mecca.

From the start, the journey looks to be difficult: Reda and his father (Mohamed Majd) have nothing in common.
The wide cultural and generational gap between the two is worsened by the lack of communication between the two.

Reda finds it hard to accommodate his father, who demands respect for himself and his pilgrimage.

From France, through Italy, Serbia, Turkey, Syria, Jordan to Saudi Arabia- the two will embark on a road trip to Mecca that will change their lives.

Salem al-Tamimi was born in 1956 in Tripoli.
Garyounis graduate of the University College of Arts Department of Media Studies in 1980.

The year 2007 chosen by the critic Fine Professor of Monetary and contemporary art at the University of Palermo, Italy chosen for an exhibition of contemporary art in the Libyan Mediterranean Balermwa – the experience of the artist Salim al-Tamimi, the experience was chosen as part of a Swiss contemporary art, and there are studies and writings about his experiences and centered: Art and graphite wall surround the cities.
The final work was selected to be represented through the Art Gallery Palermo – Italy.

Meltm Atabek was born in Turkey in 1967. In 1988 she was graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramics and Glass Department. She got her masters degree in 1991 with the thesis called “A New Dimension of Hittite Tablets “. Until now she had nine solo exhibitions and she have participated numerous others. Recently, she continues her art in TRIPOLI/Libya

More about Bashir Hamouda:

Hamouda was born in 1948 in the old town of Tripoli. Graduated from Rome Academy of fine Arts, panting Dep. 1974. Granted a Scholarship for higher education and obtained the Doctorate at the university of Budapest 1990.

Organized Participated in art exhibitions, and held personal Art shows in Libya, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria, Syria, Morocco, France, Philippines, Algeria, Spain, Poland, Hungary, and Tunis.

He received the following prizes: Libyan Section in Biennale of Alexandria 1976. Unknown soldiers prize Rome 1974 The Golden sail at the Kuwait Biennale of Arab Art 1977
